Fundraising in Memory of Mrs Brankin
In March 2025, we were deeply saddened by the loss of our wonderful Mrs. Brankin. She will always be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the incredible dedication she gave to Early Years and nurturing young children. Her passion and hard work have left a lasting impact on so many lives, and her memory will forever be part of our community.
In her honour, her family has set up a fundraising page, and all of our fundraising efforts will go towards supporting this cause in her memory.

JustGiving – Holly Brankin (née Simpson)
A message from her family:
We are raising funds to provide vital help to Early Years and Special Educational Needs Children in memory of our beautiful Holly who sadly passed away in April 2025 after battling cancer for over 12 years.
Holly was an amazing nursery school teacher for over 20 years at Tenterfield Nursery in Old Welwyn Hertfordshire specialising in nurturing and special educational needs. Her passion and professional commitment for her work knew no boundaries. She always showed care and compassion to each and every single child and went above and beyond to provide valuable support and comforting advice to families.
Over the years she enhanced the lives of thousands of children and their families by concentrating on what they could achieve not what they couldn’t do. She gave them confidence and hope that they would find a successful path in life despite their difficulties. As one parent said ‘ She was an Angel with a heart of gold’.
In conjunction with Tenterfield Nursery, and where relevant other local charities specialising in SEN services, we will use the monies raised to provide equipment, materials, training, family support and/or to fund specific projects such as a sensory room or garden.
We aim to raise sufficient funds for this to operate in perpetuity as in this way the wonderful work Holly did will continue.
Thank you for reading Holly’s story - our aim is to honour her memory in the H way.
She believed she could, so she did!
Dave, Sue, and all the Simpson family
